This short note is written just to encourage us to play our part and also share my little knowledge and ideas of happening in our nation.
Nigeria is a country blessed with both natural and huge human resources, it is often debated that what more do we need to get our nation on the right path? This question kept resurfacing over and over again,
I will like to point out here that our unmaking is largely due to bad political plays and incompetent people at the helms of affairs.
You may also like to agree with me against all odds that our governments in the recent time has been trying to put the nation on the right path.
One of such is the recent privatization of PHCN,

David Did Not Kill Goliath, The Bible Is Not Infallible! - Femi Aribisala
Written by Femi Aribisala One of the myths of Christianity is the infallibility of the bible. Quoting Paul, some Christians insist every word in the bible is "God-breathed." (2Timothy 3:16). When you identify contradictions in the bible, they either refuse to acknowledge them or try to rationalise them away with highfaulthing apologetics.

There Is No Going Back On Our Demands – ASUU
By: Isaiah Benjamin on November 2, 2013 -
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has insisted that it will not shift ground or contemplate returning to classes until its demands are met 100 per cent by the federal government. The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria chapter Chairman of ASUU, Dr Muhammed Kabir Aliyu, stated this in an interview he granted LEADERSHIP Weekend in Zaria shortly after their congress meeting. According to Dr Aliyu, “the federal government has not shown any sign of sincerity in keeping to the agreement reached in 2009 and ASUU will only call off the strike once our demands are met by the federal government.” Aliyu said: “The issue at stakes is that the federal government is not sincere. The government is trying to re-negotiate what we have already negotiated and agreed with them. The union presented a demand in 2006, which led to the 2009 agreement. They (government) should implement what they have agreed upon. “Even the Vice President then, who is now the President of Nigeria, was involved. In fact, he read the agreement and was among those who advised the late President Yar’Adua to ask his team on the government side to sign the agreement. “So, it is that agreement again they want to change but that why ASUU is insisting on it. The strike is lingering because government is not sincere they are trying to re-negotiate or repudiate the agreement and ASUU will not agree to that.” On the statement credited to Senate President David Mark that those who signed the 2009 agreement on behalf of government were incompetent, Aliyu said: “Indirectly, the senate president is saying that the current Nigerian president is not competent and not just the Nigerian president, but all the vice chancellors that were there, all the pro-chancellors that were there, the executive secretary that was there, the minister of education’s representative that was there, ministry of finance that was there, ministry of labour that was there, National University Commission that was there. So, what he is saying is that the whole government is not competent, and perhaps doesn’t know its left from right. That is the implication of what the Senate president is saying”. On the implication of the strike on the academic standard, Aliyu said: “Our strike is trying to even improve the system. We cannot continue to pretend that we are graduating good students. People know that our students are not competent enough to call themselves graduates, that is why ASUU is trying to address it. “So, the strike is not the problem; the cause of the strike is the problem. The strike has no negative effect directly, because the strike is trying to improve the system. Now that the government said they have given N100 billion naira to build more laboratories, libraries and the rest or buy equipment, that will improve the system.”

Anti-Corruption Group CACOL Throw Blows With ICPC Officials, Forced Access To Submit Petition
on
By Lanre Neville
Yesterday, CACOL, led by Debo Adeniran, its Executive Chairman, was at ICPC office to submit a petition demanding the investigation of Stella Oduah, the Minister of Aviation, over the controversial purchase of two bulletproof armoured cars at a cost of N225 million which is alleged to have been fraudulent and at an inflated price.
It would have been a bloodbath yesterday (Wednesday) when the Police at the office of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) shot into the air to disperse members of the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) who had come to submit a petition at the commission’s Ikoyi office in Lagos.
However, on their arrival at around 10:30 am, what was to be a march to submit their petition almost turned bloody when the operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at the gate of the ICPC office tried to prevent the protesters from entering the premises.
However, while the group insisted on entering the commission’s office, which they insisted is a public building, a struggle ensured between them and the NSCDC, prompting one of the policemen on duty to shoot into the air to disperse the crowd. However, rather than disperse, members of the group pushed their way through the gate prompting the policeman to fire two more shots
which drew the attention of CSP Shintema Binga, the Head of Lagos Operations of the ICPC.
Defending the protest march, Adeniran said the action became necessary because the establishing Act of the ICPC is defective in that it did no vest the commission with powers to undertake investigations unless it first receives a petition. “In this affect, we have come here to help you do your work,” he argued.
He said although President Goodluck Jonathan has set up a panel to investigate the allegations against the minister, their protest and petition become necessary because “most of the time when President Jonathan sets up his panels, they bury the issue rather than bring it to justice.” He further argued that “since the police has established that there has not been reported cases of threats to the life or intimidation from the minister’s quarters and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is also reluctant to release documents relating to the purchase, many things are shrouded in secrecy that have to be uncovered by your agency.”
CACOL, therefore, prayed the ICPC to investigate the minister for abuse of office, as well as probe the activities of the NCAA, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and other relevant agencies under the Aviation ministry.
Adeniran further task the anti-corruption agency to live up yo expectations of Nigerians and always do what's required by law that established them.
Binga promised to forward the petition to his superiors at ICPC's head office and necessary actions will be taken.

Perhaps that can explain why, despite his uncanny ability to predict precise moves in the stock market, Sean is often laughed at for his unique stance on investing.
For example . . . a few months ago Sean appeared on Bloomberg Television. At that time, Best Buy (BBY) was dropping to all-time lows of $16 a share. Sean predicted the stock could go down to $11 a share, and would then quickly rebound to $25 per share, and after that would rally to $40 per share over the next year.
Another commentator on the show actually mocked Sean for his stance, saying “$40 on Best Buy? If that’s the case Apple (AAPL) is going to $1,500. That’s the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!” (Editor’s Note: At the time, Apple was trading at $650 per share).

This is a strange report. Found it on Sahara Reporters....read below....
Clara Chime, the First Lady of Enugu State, says Gov. Sullivan Chime, has placed her under house arrest, and has cried out for assistance to human rights bodies to rescue her.
In a letter dripping with pain and suffering, Mrs. Chime (pictured above with Governor Chime) disclosed that she married Mr. Chime in Oct. 2008 but that she has been unable to share the matrimonial bed with him for over four years. Describing her desperate situation, she said that even President Goodluck Jonathan and First Lady Patience Jonathan have intervened with her husband without success.
“My father is late, my Mum and few of my siblings are confused and have done all kinds of prayers they know of, 3 of my siblings prefers me dead than to see me leave the Government house. He treats my Mum and my siblings bad,” she wrote.
